I haven’t written a blog post in a long time. Does anyone do this anymore? Has everyone moved to BlueSky or Substack? There is so much to read and, well, Time! How are you spending yours? In the spirit of me simply keeping up with myself I am posting a few links to poems that have come out in the past couple of months.
I am also here to say that I officially retired from my job as the Mental Health Coordinator at the Cure JM Foundation, though I continue to manage the mental health grants program until someone steps up to take it on. I am proud of what we accomplished but I’m ready to move on. Moving on means more time to write, to read, to teach work relating to Narrative Medicine and collaborate with others in this work.
I have a manuscript floating around various places hoping to get published. Since it’s a second book, it could take awhile–heck, any book can take awhile.
Hoping everyone is finding areas to engage in that bring a measure of satisfaction and hope. It is ok to rest too.

TEACHING/WORKSHOPS:
I’ll be teaching some workshops in support of Moms who have kids living with Cystic Fibrosis through the Cody Dieruf Foundation. The retreat is in Montana in October.
I’m teaching at the Poets for Science conference in November.
